Book a Group Activity

We host hundreds of trips every year for birthday parties, reunions, schools, activity clubs, uniformed youth groups and religious groups of all faiths. Read what our customers say.

Organised groups can book any Group Activity for 15 to 60 participants aged 5 or older. Each activity takes place in its own area, so that groups of more than 60 participants can do concurrent Group Activities. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Group Activity prices include admission for the activity area - no hidden charges.

An exciting game of tag played in the maze, with rules so complicated that only children can understand them - watch out for the hats! Great for fitness and a rare chance to show tactical intelligence. Highly competitive - yet with no winners or losers. Our Butterfly Zoo Keeper shows your group our tropical butterflies and their life-cycle, how to find eggs, caterpillars and chrysalides, and tells of the surprising survival strategies they have evolved. Great for developing awareness of growth and the role of biodiversity. Indoors. Adult £3.25 Child £2.50 Concession £2.75 Price includes admission to the Butterfly Zoo.

Play on our excellent 12-hole course with its all-weather surface, and the winner keeps the pencil! Great for developing fair play and competitiveness. Group Activity participants are started at different holes to play rounds simultaneously. Adult £3 Child £2 Concession £2.50 Half this price for groups booked for other activities! Includes equipment hire and score-cards to take home.

We lead your group to make a labyrinth - in minutes - then tell a story about it before organising a race 'round, and finally you wreck it! Great for developing listening, measuring and team skills. All participants £1 Price includes use of equipment.

Learn to fly a juggler's Diabolo on the grass. It's huge fun, and everyone learns a party-trick for life! Great for developing perseverance and coordination. All participants £5 Price includes take-home diabolos!

A quick-change fancy-dress team race based on the life-cycle of butterflies, complete with predators. Hilarious excitement! Great for reinforcing the butterfly life-cycle. All participants £1 Price includes use of equipment.

Our lecture links mazes with myths, mysteries, maths and magic to meet the needs of groups with limited mobility or an intellectual interest in the labyrinth and its ethnography. Find “tried and tested ways” to stop labour pains and make a demon feel sick! Adult £3 Child £2.25 Concession £2.50 Price includes admission to the maze and use of equipment.

Developed from Lindsay’s “Chaos for Kids” maths masterclass for children for the British Association for the Advancement of Science, this activity demonstrates features of mathematical chaos - without using complex numbers, algebra or arithmetic! Huge fun, you’ll be amazed! Book this as Lore of the Labyrinth + Maze Making Magic and just let us know that you are mathematically interested at the time of booking. Add Miniature Golf to get some arithmetic in the mix, but why not bring your scientific calculators for statistical analysis of the scores on the coach home? See above for prices.

Attendants are admitted free to attractions: 2 Attendants for 15 to 20 participants, 3 for 21 to 30 and so on pro rata for assistance, plus one extra Attendant per individual for constant attendance in case of special need, e.g. to push a wheelchair. Group Activities are not suitable for children under 5 years old, but playgroups and other pre-school groups get a great deal because under-5s are free for admission under our standard prices.
